That's because we offer assistance that will help guide you toward a brighter tomorrow. When you need help, our Roadside Assistance Program has your back.
How It Works
If your Volvo breaks down and you need a tow, we now offer complimentary towing, regardless of age or mileage. Volvo Roadside Assistance will now provide complimentary coverage for 25 miles, to any authorized Volvo dealer* or Volvo Certified Collision Center. If you need a tow, give us a call at 1-800-638-6586.
If you are looking for a more comprehensive after-warranty roadside assistance coverage, to compliment Volvo Roadside Assistance, we offer Volvo Roadside Assistance Plus which includes tire changes, battery jump, trip interruption and more for $99.99/year. Check out the coverage here!
*Note: Volvo will cover the first 25 miles to any authorized Volvo dealer in the case of a mechanical or electrical breakdown. Volvo will cover the first 25 miles to an authorized Certified Collision center in the case of an accident. There will be an overage fee for mileage beyond the initial 25 miles.
Volvo Roadside Assistance Plus
Volvo Roadside Assistance Plus membership starts when you purchase your new or Certified By Volvo vehicle and is the roadside assistance coverage you can purchase once your complimentary coverage under the Volvo New Car Warranty or Certified Pre-Owned Warranty has expired. The cost for a one year membership is $99.99 and provides you with the following benefits:
- Towing to your nearest Volvo dealer up to 100 miles, or your Volvo dealer of choice within 25 miles*
- Battery Jump
- Lockout Service
- Flat tire change (if your vehicle is equipped with a spare)
- Emergency Fuel Delivery
- Trip Interruption benefits up to $500 (see below for details)
- Coverage for one additional household vehicle of any brand
When you sign up for the membership, you will receive a Volvo Roadside Assistance Plus membership number that you will need to keep handy in case you need to initiate roadside assistance. You can purchase Volvo Roadside Assistance Plus by calling 1-833-260-5346 or online through volvo.geturgently.com/.
*Note: Additional charges will incur for distances beyond the included mileage.
What is trip interruption with Volvo Roadside Assistance Plus?
Expense reimbursement benefits are provided in the event of a warranty-related disablement occurring more than 100 miles from your primary residence up to $1,000, including meals, lodging, car rentals and more.
Expenses for food, lodging and alternate transportation such as a rental vehicle and/or commercial transportation (i.e. taxi, Uber, Lyft, bus, train, or airfare) are covered.
In order to qualify for the Trip Interruption benefits, the car must be towed by Volvo Roadside Assistance to an authorized Volvo dealership.
Reimbursement consideration is for expenses incurred during the disablement. Our Volvo Roadside Assistance team must be supplied with original receipts and the repair order from the servicing Volvo dealer to qualify for reimbursement. Trip interruption reimbursement is limited to a total of $1,000 and it is required that you contact Volvo Roadside Assistance Plus. We can be reached at 1-800-638-6586.
Claim Information
All trip interruption claims must be submitted with the following:
The original itemized repair order from the dealer that repaired the vehicle due to a mechanical disablement. Itemized receipts for food, car rental, hotel, etc.
The following items are not eligible for reimbursement under trip interruption:
- Expenses due to tire failure and accidents
- Fuel
- Tolls
- Rental car add-ons

What is the difference between Volvo On Call and Volvo Roadside Assistance?
Volvo On Call is a subscription based service featuring the Volvo Cars app that keeps you connected with your Volvo car. The purchase or lease of a brand new model year 2018 or newer Volvo includes Volvo On Call complimentary for the first four years from the initial date of activation.
Volvo On Call subscription includes:
All 2015.5 and newer Volvos that are equipped with the Sensus Connect system have the integrated Volvo On Call system. By pressing the integrated On Call button from inside your Volvo, you will reach a Volvo Roadside operator who will guide a recovery service to your current location. This system also includes an SOS emergency button.
Note: If you choose not to renew your Volvo On Call subscription, you will still have the in-car access to the SOS and On Call buttons to initiate Roadside Assistance. You will lose the features listed above under the Volvo On Call subscription.
