Nothing's worse than ordering something from Amazon to discover that it's been stolen right off of your porch or doorstep. To get past these so-called "porch pirates," Amazon has provided a few options. According to Pocket-lint.com, these options are or will be soon:

  • Amazon Key In-Home – Set up the Amazon system to temporarily allow access to your home to the delivery driver. They'll scan their device, open the door, leave the package, and shut and lock your door for you. The whole action is recorded and monitored.
  • Amazon Locker – Certain delivery locations allow you access to pick up your delivered item, like at a post office.
  • Amazon Key In-Garage – This option sets up delivery to your garage instead of your home.
  • Amazon Key In-Car – This system doesn't require any installation; it simply uses an app on your phone to allow access to your vehicle.
